Four Disciplines. One Platform.

Whether rotary controls, OLED, touch, or force feedback – we measure what operators feel, see, and actuate. A continuous data foundation from lab to end-of-line testing.

01

Haptics Measurement

Objective characterization of push buttons, rocker switches, and rotary controls through precise force–displacement and torque–angle measurements, including analysis of characteristic haptic parameters.

  • Snap behavior
  • Click point
  • Return force
  • Friction torque
  • Number & quality of detents
  • Hysteresis
02

Optical Inspection

Analysis and measurement of optical properties of displays and illuminated control elements with respect to color, homogeneity, contrast, and pixel quality.

  • ΔE / Color difference
  • Color space / Gamut
  • Contrast
  • Uniformity
  • Subpixel analysis
  • Luminance distribution
03

Force Feedback Analysis

Testing of touch and haptic systems using an actuator that mimics the physical properties of the human finger, enabling objective evaluation of user feedback.

  • Finger-like actuation
  • Force-controlled actuation
  • Vibration analysis
  • Signal energy
  • Damping
  • Response behavior
04

LED & Symbology

Calibrated measurement of luminance, color fidelity, and symbol sharpness – proprietary algorithms for uniformity and defect analysis.

  • Luminance
  • Chromaticity
  • Symbol sharpness
↳ Not isolated measurements – correlated overall assessment of the control system. CORRELATED. NOT ISOLATED.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About HMI Test Technology.

01Which HMI components can PANOVO tec test?
We test the entire human-machine interface: displays (TN, IPS, OLED) including subpixel analysis, capacitive and resistive touch inputs, haptics (rotary controls, push buttons, rocker switches), force feedback, illuminated symbols, LEDs, mechanics, and switching logic – individually or as an integrated component.
02Are your test systems applicable outside the automotive industry?
Yes. Our test systems are built to automotive standards – with μm precision, safety-critical design, and end-of-line capability. These requirements transfer directly to aerospace, defense, and medical technology.
03Was bedeutet „Offizieller NI System Integrator"?
PANOVO tec is a National Instruments-certified system integrator. We deploy the entire NI platform – LabVIEW, TestStand, PXI, cRIO/sbRIO, NI DAQ, and Vision – and extend it with proprietary measurement modules for HMI-specific applications.
04Do you also offer switchgear manufacturing and DGUV testing?
Yes. In addition to HMI test technology, we manufacture switchgear, special-purpose machines, and perform recurring safety inspections in accordance with DGUV V3 and DIN EN 60204. Please follow the “Switchgear & DGUV” link in the navigation.
05From what lot size do you develop test systems?
From lot size 1. We develop custom-engineered systems – from laboratory test equipment for development and validation to fully automated end-of-line test cells in series production.
06Where is PANOVO tec located?
PANOVO tec GmbH is headquartered in Nuremberg, Schreiberhauer Str. 5, 90475 Nuremberg, Germany. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified and serve customers throughout Europe.
